Obituary
William Curtis Arnold

Raleigh, North Carolina

Age 72.
Died 8/25/2025.

William Curtis Arnold, 72, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away in August 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, William was a Legendary Master Carpenter and Builder whose craftsmanship reached remarkable heights, including projects at the White House and even a castle in the United Kingdom. After retiring in 2005, he traded the Pennsylvania winters for the Florida sunshine, where he spent his later years surrounded by family and friends. William was known not just for his skill with wood, but for his wit, his quirks, and his unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys — even when they let him down year after year. He loved working on jigsaw puzzles and crosswords, whipping up his legendary “dank dippy egg sandwiches” at 2 a.m., sharing laughs, and telling his legendary ghost stories that could keep a room captivated well past midnight. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kimberly, who passed in 2007. William is survived by his four sons: William (48, Melbourne, FL), Keith (45, Melbourne, FL), Andrew (38, Raleigh, NC), and Jason (35, Orlando, FL); his siblings Kathryne of Palm Harbor, FL, Shirley of Orlando, FL, and Timothy of Tybee Island, GA; and his grandchildren Mya, Jayden, Scarlett, and Savannah, among others who will carry forward his memory. There will be no formal service. Instead, the family invites you to raise a Canadian Club Whisky on the rocks in his honor and remember him with a smile.
