Timothy Pendergrass

Timothy Lee Pendergrass, 58, of Franklinton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Tim was born on May 8, 1965 in Durham, North Carolina to Mona Pendergrass Jenkins and the late Claudius Pendergrass. He is survived by his devoted and loving mother, Mona Pendergrass Jenkins (Roy), his older sister, Robin Thompson and older brother, Walter Pendergrass, III (Phyllis); Niece’s Jenna Rae Overton (Jake), Jessica Thompson, and nephew, Michael Pendergrass (Melanie); Great niece’s and nephew’s, Magnolia & Whitlee Overton, Garrett Thompson, Max & Kate Pendergrass; along with multiple aunts, uncles and cousins. Tim spent many years in the construction industry where he was a superintendent over residential construction and worked in the Granite Industry cutting and installing granite countertops and tile into residential homes. He loved being outside and working with his hands. Tim loved many things but sports, music, family and friends were among his favorite. Tim was an avid musician and was great at not only the drums and guitar but could sing with the best of them. He played in many bands over the years. Not to be left out, Tim was blessed with his beloved dog, Spade, who was with him for 16 years. Tim was predeceased in death by his father, Claudius Pendergrass, Jr., uncle, Jack Cress, maternal grandparents, Fred & Alma Cress and paternal grandparents, Claudius & Lena Pendergrass. Tim will be buried at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham, North Carolina.
