Teresa Golucke Scholfield

Raleigh, North Carolina

Age 65.
Died 3/8/2025.

Teresa (Golucke) Scholfield, known lovingly as Nana, of Lyons, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at UNC REX Healthcare in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her oldest daughter by her side. She was 65 years old. Born on February 28, 1960, in Augusta, Georgia, Teresa was a beloved member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Carl Dickinson Scholfield, whom she shared 41 wonderful years of marriage with, as well as her mother, Betty (Golucke) McCombs, her stepfather, James Raymond McCombs, and her father, James Foster "Jimmy" Golucke. Teresa's heart was as big as her love for family and faith. She is survived by her children, AshLeigh Eillene (Scholfield) Criswell and husband Matthew of Wilson, NC, James Aaron Scholfield and wife Shannon of Vidalia, GA, Audra Beth (Scholfield) Holton of Athens, GA, Carl Adam Scholfield of Lyons, GA, and stepson T.N. Scholfield and wife Leslie of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by her siblings, C.F. "Buddy" Golucke and wife Kathy of Milton, FL, James E. "Eddie" Golucke and wife Gloria of San Antonio, Texas, and a multitude of beloved grandchildren. Her grandchildren include Faith, MAC, Malachi, Micha Criswell, Carson, Coby, Cailen Scholfield, Akasha Edenfield, Michael "MJ" Holton, Jonathon, Christian, and Freddie Scholfield. In addition to her human family, Teresa is survived by her beloved pets, Gryphon, and Moxie, who brought her great comfort and joy. She also leaves behind numerous "adoptive" children, and a large and loving church family who will miss her deeply. Teresa's kind heart, infectious smile, and selfless nature will be remembered by all who knew her. She touched the lives of many with her unwavering faith, boundless love, and the deep devotion she had for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and joy that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidalia, Georgia March 29, 2025 at 2pm. Teresa will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
