Obituary
Susan Morrow

Apex, North Carolina

Age 60.
Died 2/5/2025.

Susan Morrow, 60, known by many as Sue, passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2025 in Cary, North Carolina due to her recent diagnosis of Metastatic Breast Cancer. She lived a life full of love, friendship, and creativity. Sue was born and raised in Manchester, Connecticut to Walter and Thelma Weir. As one of five, Sue was often the person her siblings turned to for advice, a shoulder to cry on, or just a good afternoon chat. She was always the life of a party and her tenacious spirit earned her the nickname of "the pit-bull". Sue was one of the first women to attend and graduate from Howell Cheney Technical High School, in 1983. It was here that she met her loving husband, Thomas (Tom) Morrow, of 38 years in 1980. They shared many memories, from their teenage years, going to many car shows, starting a family, moving to North Carolina and much more. Sue was always the most proud of the two children they share, Tommy and Angela. She gave much of herself to them from teaching them how to cook, sharing her creative side, and her beautiful smile. Anyone who knew Sue, knew they had made a lifelong friend. She was always bubbly and smiling, shining like the star she was. She could have a conversation with anyone, and if you were lucky you'd earn yourself an invite to the next party. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family making crafts, swimming in the pool, traveling, and chatting on the porch. She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Weir; her mother, Thelma Kenny Weir; and her nephew Henry Dekker Jr. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Thomas (Tom) Morrow; her son, Thomas (Tommy) Morrow; her daughter, Angela Morrow; her four siblings, Debra Lee [George], Cheryl Dekker [John], Bonnie Elmer [Tom], and Walter Weir; as well as her seven nieces and nephews; and many many friends that meant so much to her. There will be two celebrations of life held to remember Susan, the first on March 1st, 2025, starting at 11am at the McCullers Ruritan Club in Raleigh, North Carolina. The second celebration will take place in Connecticut on a later date that will be communicated once plans are made. The family would like to thank all the staff at WakeMed Cary for their support and care for Susan in her final days, as well as all those who visited.
