Sharon Davis

Rockingham, North Carolina

Age 75.
Died 7/31/2024.

Sharon West Davis, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 31st 2024, after fighting a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her Daughter Sonja Lanette Davis and son Christopher Hall Davis. Sharon was born in Richmond County on December 15th 1948. She was the daughter of the late Naomi O. Monroe and Jack B West. She was a graduate of Rockingham High School, class of 1967. Sharon worked in the insurance business for years and later retired from the Richmond County Health Department. Sharon loved her family tremendously and was a strong believer in Christ. She was an active member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with other believers and loved her family and friends to the fullest. She has been a fierce warrior through many difficult times throughout her life and always found her strength in Jesus Christ. She is survived by her son, Scott Davis of Caswell Beach, NC. Grandsons; Seth Davis currently serving in the United States Air Force overseas. Ben Cole of Myrtle Beach, SC. Trey Stewart (Amanda) and one great granddaughter Ruby Stewart of Smithfield, NC. She is also survived by her sister Debbie Higby Williams (Donnie) of Rockingham. She leaves behind two dearest friends; Patricia Terry and Kitty Winchester. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be at Southside Freewill Baptist Church on Saturday August 3rd at 12:00 pm with Pastor Stephen Ashby and Thad Jacobs officiating. City of Oaks Funeral Home & Cremations is serving the family.
