Obituary
Samual Taylor and Diane Taylor

Holly Springs, North Carolina

Age 81.
Died 10/7/2023.

Samuel Dewitt Taylor left this earthly realm to be with Jesus on October 7, 2023, in his home while being cared for by his family. He was 81 years old. Sam was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who never lacked a smile, joke, or funny story. He was always ready to take his girls anywhere, especially out to lunch! His passions in life were spending time with family, swinging a golf club, and hunting for the perfect barbeque sauce! He treasured every moment with his four grandchildren, two daughters, their husbands, and Diane, known as “little-buddy” and wife of fifty-five years. Beyond family, Sam was well-loved in the community, working for many years in his business United Media, and volunteering at his church, Allen Memorial Baptist. Through him, and his example as a caregiver for his wife Diane, we know what true commitment and love look’s like. Sam is survived by his daughters Julie and Jenny, their husbands, and four grandchildren. In addition to his family, Sam will be greatly missed by many lifelong friends and family in Salisbury, Maryland and Peoria, Illinois. A celebration of life will be held for both Sam and Diane Taylor on Sunday, November 12th, 2023, in Salisbury, Maryland. Please reach out to Julie or Jenny if you would like to attend. Diane Lynn Taylor left this earthly realm to be with Jesus on May 1, 2023, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was 76 years old. It would be wrong to say that Diane lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how difficult the movement became, she was always determined to “keep shopping” and spending time with her family. Diane was open-hearted to everyone and never met a stranger who didn’t become a friend. Her passions in life were the loved ones around her! She treasured every moment with her four grandchildren, two daughters, their husbands, and Sam, her devoted husband of fifty-five years. Beyond family, Diane was well-loved in the community, working for many years as VP for Best Temps and Career Associates, and volunteering in her church Allen Memorial Baptist. Through her, we know resilience and perseverance. At the time of death, Diane was survived by her husband Sam and their daughters Julie and Jenny. In addition to her family, Diane will be greatly missed by many lifelong friends and family in Salisbury, Maryland and Peoria, Illinois. A celebration of life will be held for both Diane and Sam (who passed away October 7, 2023) on Sunday, November 12th, 2023, in Salisbury, Maryland. Please reach out to Julie or Jenny if you would like to attend.

For additional information or for service details, please reach out to the family directly.
