Roger Seagroves

Cary, North Carolina

Age 70.
Died 5/16/2025.

Roger Dale Seagroves died peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025 following a lengthy illness. Roger was born in Raleigh NC on October 20, 1954 to Joseph Nathaniel Seagroves Sr. and Mary Bell Weaver Seagroves. Roger lived all of his life in Wake County, NC. He loved fishing, cowboy movies, and country music. Roger was a friend to everyone he met, and there will never be another like him. He met Annie Ruth Holleman in Raleigh, NC. They married on July 9, 1993 and stayed married until Ruth's passing on August 19, 2022. Roger is survived by his brother, Joseph N. Seagroves Jr. and wife, Jamie; his sisters, Brenda S. Howard and husband, Darrell; Linda Ross; nieces: Amy H. Gardner and Brandy R. Selos; nephews: Ted Howard, Justin Ross, and Chuck Seagroves; great-nieces: Katherine Selos, Kaitlyn Keim, Gracie Howard; great-nephews: Cameron Piland, Matthew Gardner, Caleb Howard, Connor Howard, Ryan Selos, Logan Seagroves, Chase Ross, Maddox Ross. In addition to his parents and his wife, Roger was pre-deceased by his brother Robert L. Seagroves, his nephews, Joseph N. Seagroves III and Timothy Howard. The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice for their loving care of Roger and their support of his loved ones. Arrangements are being handled by City of Oaks Crematorium in Raleigh, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Best Friends Animal Adoption (bfpa.org/donation) in honor of Roger and his beloved pup, Hannah. A visitation for Roger's friends and family will be held at City of Oaks Funeral Home. Please contact the family directly for details.
