Peter Passantino

Peter Benjamin Passantino of Fuquay-Varina N.C. passed away peacefully with his children at his side at the age of 80 on March 25, 2024. Born on November 23, 1943. Peter was welcomed into eternal rest by his loving wife who passed away on July 4, 2015, Mamie Passantino along with his parents, Peter Passantino and Anna Gurcia, granddaughter Michaelina Passantino and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was born in Brooklyn N.Y. and the oldest of three children. Peter is survived by his son, Peter J. Passantino and wife Michele, daughter, Dawn Dolan and husband James, four grandchildren, Joshua Dolan, Anthony Dolan, Jason Dolan and Jacqueline Passantino along with three great-grandchildren, Nicolas Dolan, Elliott Dolan and Finley Dolan. Peter is also survived by his Sister MaryAnn Scarpati and her husband Joseph, his brother John Passantino and his wife Mindy along with numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was a paper handler like his father and uncles working for the NY Times, the NY Post and the American Banknote Company. In his retirement he became a resident of North Carolina where his hobbies including woodworking, music and painting which he still enjoyed during his last weeks. His biggest joy was spending time with his family and friends enjoying good company and conversation. Peter’s life will be celebrated on April 1, 2024 with a small gathering of family and friends. If lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in his memory to their local American Heart Association.
