Nathaniel Stewart

Nathaniel James Stewart, aged 41, passed away on July 16, 2024. He was a beloved son, father, husband, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Nathaniel was born on August 23, 1982 in Alton, Illinois, to Dale and Rebecca Stewart. He graduated in 2000 from Southwestern High School in Piasa, Illinois. He attended Lewis & Clark Community College, Living Light School of Worship, and later on, Pikes Peak Community College. His areas of expertise included automotive repair, music theory, and information technology. He was a talented guitarist, playing both electric and bass guitar. He thrived in his role as a senior business analysis manager for T-Mobile, where he worked for 16 years. He was known for his hard work, humor, and interdepartmental collaboration. But more than anything, Nate was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his children, teaching them how to build things, playing games, going to the beach, and watching movies. His children adored him, and equally loved making him laugh. They attended The Summit Church in Raleigh after moving from Colorado Springs, CO to Franklinton, North Carolina. He enjoyed working on house projects and driving his tractor on their 17-acre homestead. Nathaniel is survived by his wife of 17 years, Rene; his children, Connor, Ainsley, Rowan, and Oliver; his parents Dale and Rebecca Stewart; his siblings Nicholas Stewart, Percy Stewart, Brandy (Cory) Simmons; two nephews, and one niece; his father in law and mother in law Scott and Kathy Barragree; brother in law Kevin Barragree; and many others. His memory will be cherished by those near and far. There will be no funeral service, but a celebration of life may be held at a later date. Details will be forthcoming.
