Mary Naslund

Raleigh, North Carolina

Age 76.
Died 12/24/2025.

Mary Naslund, 76, of Raleigh, NC, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at home. Mary was born on March 3, 1949, in Davenport, IA to James and Margaret Bielefeldt. She grew up in Rock Island, IL. Mary graduated from Alleman High School and continued her education at Blackhawk Junior College. She went on to build a distinguished career in banking, serving as Vice President and the sole compliance officer at Heartland Bank in St. Louis, MO. Mary was widely respected for her leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence. Her family and friends were her greatest priority, and she showed up for them with unwavering loyalty, kindness, and a heart full of love. Mary enjoyed spending time with her husband and grandchildren, visiting the St. Louis Zoo, the Muny, the Botanical Gardens and taking trips to the beach with her family. She was deeply involved in countless hours of volunteer work in the Catholic Church, including teaching catechism classes at St. Mary Magdalen and serving her community with generosity and faith. She will be remembered for her love of her family, an incredible sense of humor, and a love of flowers and gardening that lasted her lifetime. Mary is survived by her husband, Paul; her children, Andrea Morris and Erik Naslund (Jennifer); and her beloved grandchildren: Hailey, Hannah, and Andrew Morris, and Brady, Jared, and Ella Naslund. She is also survived by her sister Angela White (Mike); brother James Bielefeldt (Honda); sister-in-law Martha Smith (Mike); brother-in-law Larry Naslund; nephews Nicholas Sprague, Sean Bielefeldt, Joel Bielefeldt and Drew Smith; nieces Emily Smith, Erika Barton, and Christina Davis; as well as many great-nephews and a great-niece. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Bielefeldt. A Memorial Service will be held on February 7, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi in the Chapel at 11:30. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Mary’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association: https://www.alz.org/
