Martha Lynn Donnamaria

Holly Springs, North Carolina

Age 72.
Died 2/8/2024.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Martha Lynn Donnamaria on February 8, 2024, in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Martha was born on September 14, 1951, in Monroe, North Carolina, in Union County, She lived in Marshville, NC, till she was 9 then moved to Caledonia Prison in Halifax County, NC. At 18 Martha went to Chowan Collage in Murfreesboro, NC, then moved to Virginia Beach, VA. At the age of 20 Marth moved to Albuquerque, NM where she lived for many years. In 1990 she moved back to North Carolina where she lived in Scotland Neck, NC, for a short time before moving to Rocky Mount, NC. After leaving Rocky Mount, NC, she lived for a short time in Durham, NC, and Apex, NC, before settling in Holly Springs, NC where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her. Martha dedicated 25 years of her professional life as a Phone Representative at American Airlines. Beyond her career, she found boundless joy in traversing the globe, immersing herself in the harmonies of music, unleashing her creativity through art, knitting, and sewing, and cultivating life through her deep-rooted love for gardening. Martha's commitment to her community and faith was unwavering, she was very proud of her service to her church as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. During her final years, she spent time studying religion and Energy Medicine to learn how religion, faith, and medicine can heal the body. Left to carry on Martha's legacy are her beloved children, John Louis Donnamaria III, Jana Kay McAlister, and Kristie Donnamaria Brown, her seven grandchildren, and her siblings, Danny Lee Hathcock and Rebecca Ann Hathcock Osborne. Martha now reunites with her cherished parents, Chloe Dell Robinson Hathcock and Harvey Lee Hathcock, whose values she embodied throughout her life's journey. In accordance with Martha's wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. Instead, let us honor her memory by embracing her vibrant spirit, enduring kindness, and the profound impact she had on each of our lives. Though she may be physically absent, Martha's legacy of love and warmth will forever resonate within our hearts.
