Obituary
Marianne O'Neill

Cary, North Carolina

Age 81.
Died 7/13/2024.

Mrs. Marianne C. O’Neill , 81, of Cary, NC passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at The Addison of Fuquay-Varina. Mrs. O’Neill was born on August 3, 1942 in Ellwood City, PA to the late Steve and Dorothy (Randatz) Custozzo. She graduated from Lincoln High School before attending and graduating from Geneva College with a degree in Chemistry. After moving to Webster, NY she worked for Xerox receiving several patents for her work with printer toners/inks. She married James F. O’Neill on October, 3 1970. After retiring from the Penfield, NY Public School system where she worked in the library and supported the ESL program, Marianne and her husband moved to Rock Hill, SC. She was an avid reader and was an active member in the local community as a member of the Friends Of The Library. After her husband passed away she moved to Cary, NC to be close to family. Recent medical conditions required her to live out her recent months at The Addison in Fuquay-Varina while still close to family. She is survived by her son Tyler J. (Jessica) O’Neill, granddaughters Ava L., and Chloe M. O’Neill and grandson Silas K. O’Neill. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Josephine McLaughlin, Dot Moyer, and her brothers Angelo, Carl, Steve, and Tony Custozzo. Following her wishes Marianne will be cremated and her ashes scattered with her late husband’s by her immediate family. Per her request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA or the Rock Hill, SC Public Library.
