Lois Walter

Raleigh, North Carolina

Age 83.
Died 2/2/2025.

Lois Frias Walter, 83, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025. Born to Lois McGlaughon Frias and Fleetwood Morris Frias, Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, known for her warm heart and welcoming spirit. Lois shared a beautiful 62-year marriage with her beloved husband, Tom Walter. Together, they raised three children: Greg Walter (Donna) of Charlotte; NC, Scott Walter (Laurel) of Wake Forest, NC; and Lorae Walter Barnett (Joey) of Raleigh, NC. Lois was immensely proud of her eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. A woman who found true happiness in the company of others, Lois was family-oriented and cherished spending time with her loved ones, both immediate and extended. Her home was always open to gatherings, and she took immense pleasure in cooking delicious meals and entertaining friends and family. It was important for Lois to create lasting memories around the dinner table, her generous spirit made everyone feel like family. Lois' love for family extended beyond her immediate circle, and she was always eager to connect with relatives, no matter how far apart. Her thoughtful nature and dedication to her loved ones profoundly impacted all who knew her. Lois' legacy lives on through her family, who will carry her love, kindness, and hospitality in their hearts forever. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, February 22, 2025, at Crossroads Fellowship Wake Forest, 13029 Keith Store Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Visitation will be at 10 o’clock at Crossroads. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tammy Lynn Foundation 739 Chappell Drive, Raleigh NC 27606, a charity close to Lois’ heart, reflecting her lifelong commitment to giving back.
