Obituary
Leo Saballos

Raleigh , North Carolina

Age 72.
Died 11/20/2021.

Leonel Saballos, Leo, passed away at 72 years old in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA on November 20th, 2021. He was born in Nicaragua, on March 30, 1949 to late parents Efrain Saballos and Angela Castellon. Leo was dearly loved by his wife, Nancy, family, and friends. Leo loved working in sales, and professionally, he worked as International Sales Manager for Latin America, Mexico, and Caribe for Tipper Tie (JBT Corporation) in Apex, North Carolina. His work gave Leo the opportunity to travel and meet many people, many considered his best friends. Leo was the soul of all reunions, lightening the room with his charismatic personality, genuine smile and laughter, talent and passion for music (he sang and played the guitar very well), showing always his love for friends and family, especially for all his grandchildren, whom also loved him very much. As much as Leo enjoyed gatherings, he also enjoyed the peacefulness of his home. He liked going to Sunday mass, watching movies, dancing with his wife, and speaking to his friends and family, many whom are living abroad. On March 2017, Leo suffered a massive stroke. Since, he had to stay in a skilled nursing home. Even with his disabilities, he was able to touch the heart of the nursing staff, whom loved him very much and did so much for him. He showed great courage and strength during all this time. He enjoyed all the visits and video calls from friends and family. Leo is survived by his wife Nancy, his children Leonel (Lee) and wife Sandi, Natalia and husband Bill, Angelita and husband Efrain, stepson Manuel and wife Claudia, stepdaughter Veronica and husband Laszlo, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, his sister Ana and extended family. Leo was a person of a great and beautiful heart, full of love and kindness. His friends and family will miss and have him in their hearts. A funeral service will be held on November 24, 2021 at St. Raphael Catholic Church 5801 Falls of Neuse Rd Raleigh NC 27609 at 12:00 pm ET.
