Kevin Wade Maddrey

Kevin Wade Maddrey known to many as "Mad Dog" born November 7,1961 left this earth peacefully on a rainy November evening November 14, 2024 surrounded by family. He would not want anyone to mourn, he would not want tears and sorrow and he definitely would not want the same obituary everyone seems to have. With Kevin what you saw is what you got. What mattered to him were his dogs, his daughter Jordan and his grandchildren Kevin Brock (K.J.) Chloe and Kaydee. Kevin loved fast cars, loud music and a good time, he found great joy sitting in his recliner. Everything he tried he seemed to master. He was born in Portsmouth, VA as a youth he excelled in baseball and bowling winning many trophies he was ranked the top youth bowler on the east coast. He was a rebel rocker teen who when faced with adversity made a life changing decision to join the US Navy at 17 years old. He got an education and saw the world all before the age of 20. Later, he went on to successfully complete a 40 year paper mill career which made him absolutely estatic because he knew Pop (Wayne Jordan) would be proud he too had accomplished the same and retired. Marriage was never really his thing so he was content to be with his family and dogs. Kevin would make you laugh and he loved to talk smack however he had a heart of gold. Just know Kevin lived a full life, he had a 40 year career, owned his dream car and saw his favorite bands in their heyday. He loved his family, Boston Terriers, rock music, fast cars and food. Kevin has many family and friends he has left behind to cherish the memories they made with him. In his last months Kevin accepted Jesus as his personal savior and passed peacefully into his arms. Details about his service are still pending at this time.
