Keith Thurston Foster

Garner, North Carolina

Age 79.
Died 12/30/2022.

Keith Thurston Foster Age 79, of Garner NC passed away peacefully in his sleep December 30, 2022, with family by his side. He was born August 5, 1943, in Monroe MI and grew up in Joliet, IL to the late Annetta O'Bryant and Theba D. Foster. Keith attended Joliet public schools and graduated from Joliet Central High school in 1961. From there he went into the Army and served his time at Ft Meade Military base. After his discharge from there he went to Hampton University, was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and graduated in 1968 with a degree in accounting. He went on to Rutgers Law School and graduated with a degree in law. He was in private practice for several year before going on to serve as a prosecuting attorney for the County of Passaic NJ for 25 years. After retiring in 2003 he moved to Garner, NC. He enjoyed life to the fullest, he painted, played golf, he was an active member of his community, was an active member of Triangle Baptist Church and served as a deacon, until Parkinson’s began to affect him. Keith was the beloved husband of 21 years to Verna Foster, loving father to Joy and Judy Foster, and grandfather to Kyla, Kierra, And Brandon Foster-Bagley. He was stepfather to Cindy Timmons and Debbie Traver-Siller, step grandfather to Brandon Brahler, Sabrina Eickenberg, Hunter Regan and step great grandfather to Aubrey Eickenberg, sister Cheryl D. Foster and stepsisters Carol and Phyllis Smith. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister Robyn. We will be celebrating his life on January 14, 2023, at Triangle Baptist Church 9713 Old Stage Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm with service beginning at 3:00 pm and a Repast will follow. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations in his name to Salvation Army, Parkinson’s Foundation, American Parkinson’s Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
