Obituary
Judith "Judy" Robbins

Franklinton, North Carolina

Age 69.
Died 9/23/2025.

Judith “Judy” Robbins June 4, 1956 – September 23, 2025 Judith “Judy” Wilkinson Robbins, a devoted teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 69. Born to the late Ted and Mabel Patterson Wilkinson, Judy dedicated her life to nurturing children both inside and outside the classroom. A retired elementary school teacher, she had a gift for inspiring young minds and a lifelong passion for encouraging kids to discover the joy of reading. She can be remembered by many children from her time as the leader of the Muddy Buddy Book Club at Wilton Elementary School, where her enthusiasm for books made a lasting impact. Her family often joked that Judy never missed an opportunity to give a book as a gift whether a birthday, holiday, or any day, she always believed the best present was the gift of reading. Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George “Mike” Robbins, who passed away in April 2025; her father, Ted Wilkinson; her mother, Mabel Patterson Wilkinson; and her brother, Brian Wilkinson. She is survived by her three sons and their families, Michael (Christina), Joshua (Kaitlyn), and Ethan; her three cherished grandchildren, Charlotte, Jadon, and Kharis; her sisters, Susan and Phyllis; her brother, Alan; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and former students whose lives she touched deeply. Judy’s life was one of quiet strength, unwavering love, and a steadfast belief in the power of learning. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, encouragement, and stories shared from the pages of countless books. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Share the Fair providing support to the Scholastic Book Fair at Wilton Elementary (https://shop.scholastic.com/stf/fund?orgUCN=600081286) or to the Granville County Animal Shelter (https://www.paylocalgov.com/Payment/SelectEntity/1209) in Judy’s memory.
