John Sullivan, Jr.

Cary, North Carolina

Age 84.
Died 1/14/2024.

John Russell Sullivan, Jr. John Russell Sullivan, Jr, 84 of Cary, NC passed away peacefully Sunday evening, January 14, 2024 at home with his wife Martha by his side. John was born in Washington, DC to the late John Russell Sullivan, Sr and Viola Arline (Clark) Sullivan on February 11, 1939. He was drafted into the Army during Vietnam where he discovered his talent and love of cooking. He eventually found his way to Raleigh, NC where he met Martha and they have spent the last 43 years together. John was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Tyler Langdon. He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Sullivan, step-sons Todd Langdon and wife Christine, Lynn Langdon, and Keith Langdon and wife Kimberley. He is survived by his beloved grandchildren: grandsons Travis Langdon and SPC Trace Langdon, granddaughter Tori Langdon and great granddaughter Chloe Langdon. John is also survived by long-time family members Alicia & Rebecca Adair, his sister-in-law Brenda Allen and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Paul and Brenda Dillard as well as numerous nieces and nephews that are part of this beautiful and large family that he joined when he found Martha. A special thank you to Lisa and everyone at Heartland Hospice Care for the great care and support they provided to John and Martha these last few months. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1pm at Ebenezer Community Baptist Church, 7808 Ebenezer Church Rd, Raleigh, NC. The family will receive visitors in the vestibule at the church before and immediately following the service.
