Obituary
Jarrod Courtland Hamilton

Raleigh, North Carolina

Age 50.
Died 2/11/2024.

Jarrod Courtland Hamilton Jarrod Courtland Hamilton, 50 years old, passed away at his home in Holly Springs, NC on February 11, 2024, surrounded by family and friends, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jarrod was born on May 21, 1973 in Lancaster, PA to Richard Hamilton (deceased) and Pamela Johnson. Although taken too soon, Jarrod made his mark on the world and was loved enough for a lifetime. Married in 1998 to his college sweetheart, Jessica Edelhauser, they celebrated 25 years of marriage last summer. Together they enjoyed traveling, playing golf and spending time with family. Jarrod and Jessica went on to have three children: Emma, Abby, and Casey. Upon their arrivals, they quickly became Jarrod’s whole world. He often reminded each one that he loved them “to the moon and back”. He instilled good character and a knowledge of their self-worth. Even though his passing leaves a large gap in his family’s hearts, his life lessons and legacy will continue to guide them through the years. Jarrod attended Biglerville, PA High School, LaSalle University, Philadelphia, PA and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, Chapel Hill, NC, graduating with honors. He was employed at Eli Lilly, CMG Partners and EnviCor Enterprises, retiring as VP of Commercial Operations. Jarrod’s passion in life was golf; a passion he shared with his family and friends. He loved hunting and reading, especially crime thrillers. Saturday afternoons in the Fall were reserved for watching Penn State football. He also enjoyed Civil War history, having been brought up near Gettysburg, PA. Jarrod is survived by his mother, Pamela Johnson, wife, Jessica Hamilton, children, Emma, Abigail and Casey Hamilton, siblings Keith Hamilton, Richard Hamilton (Karen) and Vicki Fitzgibbons, as well as niece and nephews Steve Spade, Lisa Smith, Keith Hamilton, Craig Hamilton. Jarrod also leaves behind close friends: Steve Arnold, Jon Cook, Mike Lanza, Mark Letterman, Dan O’Brien, Phil Quatrale, Craig Sanders, Steve Risner, and Garrett Risner. There is a Celebration of Life scheduled on February 22, 2024 at 12 Oaks Club, Holly Springs, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to https://donate.kesem.org/team/526337 or https://giving.mskcc.org/rare-cancer
