Gail Lamb Foster

Raleigh, North Carolina

Age 86.
Died 6/9/2025.

Raleigh, NC. Gail Lamb Foster passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2025 at the age of 86, 8 days before her 87th birthday and 13 days before her 67th wedding Anniversary. She was born in Lumberton, NC on June 17th,1938 to the late Furman and Lacy Lamb, where she was one of 7 siblings. Her brothers were Maurice, Eldon, Ray, and Harold Dean Lamb. Her sisters were Marie Dean and Margie Floyd. All her siblings preceded her in death, leaving her as the last little Lamb to be called home to glory. She graduated from Lumberton High School and attended East Carolina University where she obtained a B.S. in Primary Education (grades 1- 4). She enjoyed teaching in both public and private schools. She and her husband have been members of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC since 1972. There she enjoyed teaching children in Sunday school and singing in the adult choir. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took great pride in her family. She also deeply touched the lives of many children in the Brentwood Community and the surrounding Raleigh area. She is survived by her husband Frederick Russell Foster, 89 of Raleigh; her children Rusty Foster and his wife Betty Ann of Rolesville NC, Pam Scott and her husband Mike of Youngsville NC, Ryan Foster and his wife Cija of Cary NC; five grandchildren: Michael Scott and his wife Kayla of Oxford NC, Brandon Scott of Zebulon NC, Eric Foster and his fiancé Ayiana of Baton Rouge LA, Logan and Ava Foster of Cary NC; and three great grandchildren: Brooks, Arianna and Jonathan Ryan of Oxford NC. A Celebration of Life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Raleigh on Saturday June 21st, 2025, at 1:00PM. Family visitation will be from 12:00PM to 1:00PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to: Emmanuel Baptist Church 2100 Noble Road Raleigh, NC 27608 -or- Transitions LifeCare 250 Hospice Circle Raleigh, NC 27607 The family would like to thank all of the individuals who provided compassionate and angelic care to our mother during her final days.
