Obituary
Frances Passaretti

Clayton, North Carolina

Age 78.
Died 4/6/2025.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Frances Ann Passaretti, 78, of Clayton, NC, who peacefully left us on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Born on May 23, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, Fran’s life was one of love, devotion, and unwavering strength. Fran was the cherished wife of Albert Passaretti Jr. for 55 years. Together, they created a beautiful life, beginning in Brooklyn, then moving to Staten Island, NY, and finally retiring to Clayton, NC in 2013, which they called the best move of their lives. “Forever Lovers,” their love story was built on a foundation of trust, respect, shared laughter, and countless memories and will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them. Fran was the absolute best mother and role model one could ever ask for. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her children, Lisa Bland and Albert III, always providing them with love, guidance, and support, famously asking, “What have you got to report?” when sitting down for a chat. She immediately embraced her son-in-law, Teddy and daughter-in-law, Christina, into the family and treated them as her own. Her greatest joy in life was her role as a grandmother. Fran’s grandchildren—Nicholas, Thomas, Natalie, Albert IV, and Christal—were the lights of her life. As their Nana, she created a world of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love, filling each moment with laughter, joy, and cherished memories. She never failed to tell each of them that she loved them to the moon and back. Her heart was always full when surrounded by her family, and she passed down traditions that will live on for generations to come. Fran worked for over 15 years as a clerk at New York Public Library, which she called the perfect job as she loved to read. She passed on her love of books to her children. She also enjoyed traveling near and far with her husband and family (especially cruises), visiting the beach, playing Bunco with her neighborhood bunco groups, attending shows and concerts, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends. Fran was a second mom, a second nana, a caring aunt, a dear cousin, and a faithful friend to so many. Her home was always open to everyone, her door always welcoming; she was always up for a party. Her spirit of giving and kindness touched everyone she encountered, and her legacy will be carried on by all who were lucky enough to know her. She found immense joy in the small moments—whether it was her weekly Sunday dinners that brought her family together, the game nights filled with laughter, or the sleepovers with her grandkids that were filled with stories, Hershey’s Kisses, snuggles, and love. Fran's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. She had the remarkable ability to make everyone feel special, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to call her a part of their lives. Her warmth, her selflessness, and her unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all. Fran was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Maria Madorma, and her brother, Vincent Madorma. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Ann Catholic Church, 4057 US-70 Business Highway West, Clayton, on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Transitions LifeCare (https://www.transitionslifecare.org/donate/), Dementia Alliance of North Carolina (https://dementianc.org/get-involved/donate/) or a charity of your choice in her honor.
