Obituary
Edward Blake

Raleigh, North Carolina

Age 90.
Died 9/25/2025.

Edward Blake, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was 90 years old. Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to Leo and Dorothy Blake, Edward's life's journey began with a strong foundation in his hometown. While he started his career selling insurance, he found his true calling in the world of Real Estate. A natural entrepreneur, Edward became a successful Real Estate Broker and owned his own business for most of his life, a period during which he also spent many years working as a Private Investigator and Appraiser. He was widely respected as an amazing businessman, defined by his acumen, drive, and the sharp, unconventional humor he brought to every deal. To know Edward was to know a master storyteller. He had a profound sense of humor, often inappropriate but always delivered with a wink and a smile—a trait his family and friends will remember with the greatest affection. More than his professional success or his famous wit, Edward was a man with a big heart. He was known for his kindness and his unconditional willingness to help anyone in need. Above all, Edward’s greatest love was his family. His devotion to them was evident in everything he did, especially during his 70-year marriage to his wife, Louise. Edward is survived by his beloved wife, Louise; his children, Chad (Janet), Jeff, and Lori (Darin). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Evan, Landis, and Bridget. He was preceded in death by his amazing sisters, Audrey, Norma, and Joni, and they are no doubt now together, catching up on old times.
