Obituary
Diane Marie Osterhoudt

Raleigh, North Carolina

Age 67.
Died 6/20/2023.

Diane Marie Osterhoudt was a caring mother, grandmother, and friend. She left this world on June 20, 2023, at age 67 after a long battle with COPD. She was born on July 14, 1955, to Alice Studler. Albin Studler adopted her at age ten when he married Alice. After graduating from Saint Patrick’s High School, in Catskill, NY, Diane soon married her husband, John Osterhoudt. Though this marriage wasn’t permanent, together they had two children: Sean Francis and Derek Albin. Diane loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach. Most of her life was devoted to her job at PMSI where she worked as a customer service manager. She always made sure she did everything with great attention to detail. Her love language was gifts, and she would always celebrate every holiday big or small. Diane’s family hopes she is reunited with her father and son as well as many other family members in heaven. Our hope is in having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that we may have eternal life. We are happy that Diane is home free and painless. We will always love and miss her until we can meet again. The private visitation will be held at City of Oaks Funeral Home. Please contact the family directly for details. Diane is survived by her mother, Alice Studler; her son, Derek Osterhoudt (Lindsay Osterhoudt); five grandsons, Chandler, Brighton, Maverick, Jamison, and Hayes Osterhoudt, and other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other assorted family and many caring friends. Diane is preceded in death by Albin Studler (father), Sean Osterhoudt (son), and her former husband, John Osterhoudt. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family’s meal train or Transitions LifeCare. The family of Diane wishes to thank Transitions LifeCare for the care they gave during the heartbreaking final months of Diane's life. Every person including the volunteers who would come to Diane’s home showed such compassion and kindness and it eased our minds to know she was well taken care of.

For additional information or for service details, please reach out to the family directly.
