Obituary
Denyce Bober Sugarman

Cary, North Carolina

Age 62.
Died 5/20/2024.

Denyce Bober Sugarman (September 5, 1961 – May 20, 2024) Denyce Bober Sugarman, Age 62, of Cary, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 20, 2024. Denyce was born in Maple Heights, OH and was the beloved wife of Neal Sugarman for 30 years, loving mother of Lauren Sugarman (27) and Ryan Sugarman (25), daughter of the late Edward and Mary Bober, the dear sister of Carol Reese (Matt), brother Mark Bober (Diane), brother in-law Joel Sugarman (Debbie), brother in-law Eliot Sugarman, godmother to her niece Sheri Pajeska and nephew David Pajeska, and great aunt to Aliyah and Scarlette Pajeska. Denyce was blessed with additional nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Denyce will be remembered for a lot of wonderful things. But her most beloved attributes were her kindness, compassion and being an amazing Mom. Denyce obtained her BA in Business Administration from Hiram College in Hiram, OH in 1983. Denyce worked at Hiram College for 6 years as the Director of the Student Activity Center where she was loved by everyone at the College. She then spent a majority of her career in sales in the bottled water industry. She was instrumental in helping major bottlers such as Dasani, Aquafina and Perrier launch their bottled water businesses. What Denyce loved most was being a mom and being with her family. She was so involved with her children’s upbringing, helping in the classroom and active participation in many other school and after-school programs. She spent countless hours reading, playing and teaching Lauren and Ryan to be great and kind people. And she displayed that same love and affection to all their friends, schoolmates and teammates as well. She was always concerned about the comfort of others and made everyone she touched a better person. Her kindness, sense of humor and love was infectious and felt by everyone she met. She bravely battled Multiple System Atrophy for 6 years. She was always more concerned about the impact and burden her condition had on others more than her own well-being. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at St. Michael The Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 804 High House Drive, Cary, NC 27513 at 1 PM. We will celebrate Denyce’s life following the service at the St Michaels Conference Center Gallery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to The Center for Volunteer Caregiving at https://volunteercaregiving.org/donate/.

For additional information or for service details, please reach out to the family directly.
