Obituary
Christopher Morales

Garner, North Carolina

Age 50.
Died 6/13/2024.

Christopher Morales, known as Chris, was born on November 3, 1973, in the borough of Manhattan, in New York City. His parents, Rafael Morales and Yvette Morales, relocated to the Albany, New York area, where Chris grew up, when he was five years old. Chris loved his parents, Rafael and Yvette, his brother, Jeffrey, and his niece, Celene. Chris will be remembered as a great human being and citizen, whose family and friends always said that he never said a bad word about anyone. Chris, his brother Jeff, and granddaughter, Celene, always made sure that their parents and grandparents were always all right, they took them to doctor appointments, shopped for them and gave them lots of love. Chris and Jeff were more than brothers, they were best friends. From their early years playing in the backyard to navigating the complexities of adolescence, Chris had always been there for Jeff, with a smile that could melt any worry away. Chris had not only filled the role of Jeff’s elder brother, but also served as his guiding light and role model in every aspect of life. Christopher’s brotherly guidance, kindness, and love will never be lost, and will always be ingrained in our lives and teachings within our lives. Chris loved playing the trumpet during the years he was in fifth and sixth grades. Chris loved science. During his seventh grade he won the best award for his project about the solar system. In his tenth grade Chris and a fellow student won best award for demonstrating their “Jacob’s Ladder” (two metal wires standing straight up, side by side, in which the electrical current jumps while moving up to the top, framing steps to the ladder) and their most recent experiments with lasers to make “holograms.” They spent their free time working on those projects in the electronics room after school. Chris graduated from Guilderland Central High School at Guilderland, New York, with Major sequences in Mathematics, Science, and Second Language. He was a member of the school track team. He graduated from Siena College, located in Loudonville, New York, with a Bachelor Degree of Arts, on May 21, 1995. He was a member of the college school government. He received an award for the best freshman academic student. Chris was always interested in the workings of government. During his summers he worked with the New York Department of Transportation Office of Contracts. He also worked as an assistant for a New York State Senator. Christopher’s last employment was as an auditor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Chris loved the New York Mets baseball team and enjoyed watching all New York sports teams. Chris enjoyed collecting sports cards and video game characters. He also enjoyed going to the movies.
