Obituary
Charles Chase

Emerald Isle, N.C., North Carolina

Age 75.
Died 7/18/2024.

Charlie Chase, 75, of Emerald Isle, NC, passed away on July 18th, 2024, due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Charlie was born on October 16, 1948, to Eva and Charles Chase in New York. After Charlie graduated from Oceanside High School in 1966, he went on to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. He later graduated from Clarkson University. In 1969, Charlie met Denny while attending college. Charlie was a member of Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity and enjoyed attending many college mixers with Denny. Charlie and Denny were married in 1971 and have two children, Mandy (Chris & Jules) and Bryan. He is survived by his sisters Joanne, Pammy, and Peggy (predeceased). After graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Charlie started his first job at Chemico in Manhattan, NY as a project manager. He went on to have a successful career in telecommunications and retired from Gartner in 2003 to spend his time at the beach. Through the years, Charlie stayed in touch with his brothers of Alpha Chi Rho. He also loved spending time with his family and friends at the Shag Club and listening to music. He loved the ocean and being on the water. Charlie and Denny enjoyed traveling to new places together. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
