Obituary
Caleb Van Allen Williams

Clayton, North Carolina

Age 26.
Died 12/17/2024.

Caleb was born on July 3rd,1998 in Raleigh, NC. He is the son of Stanley Van Allen Williams and Amy Clawson Williams. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Noah Williams and sister-in-law, Rebekah Williams. He also leaves behind Sydney Clawson, his younger sister. His surviving grandparents include Sharon Clawson and Louise Clawson. Grandparents available to greet him in heaven are Harold and Elizabeth Williams, Paul Clawson, and Charles Clawson. Caleb had a great sense of humor and loved sports, especially football. In 3rd grade, he began playing Clayton Civitan football. He was a part of the Conference Championship team at Riverwood Middle School (2012). He played for the Clayton Comets (2013-2015), and North Johnston High School Panthers (2015-2017). He was recruited to play for the Bridgewater Eagles in Bridgewater, Virginia in 2017. As a child, he reached out to classmates who were in need of friendship and acceptance. He liked being a protector. This caring spirit continued into his adulthood. He cared for his grandparents, as they navigated their loss of independence. Most recently, he was proud to be a part of a team that was dedicated to caring for a young man with special needs. Caleb battled multiple medical issues daily, in such a way that most people did not know the extent of the pain he endured. His ability to deadlift 700 pounds on good gym days added to the healthy facade. During the last months, he came out swinging. He was determined to succeed on his own terms. He developed a friendship that he felt would become his lifetime soulmate. They enjoyed a day at the NC State Fair and a Carolina Panther football game. He picked up more shifts caring for Ben, and became a more integral part of his team. He completed the Bioworks certification and had job interviews lined up. He wanted to work both jobs, save money, and provide for his own family one day. We are immensely proud of Caleb and the man he became. Our prayer for him was to be a man after God's own heart. Just as we were not able to choose his manner or time of arrival, his return to the Father was out of our hands. We would have never let him go, but God called him back home to Him. We know he now lives in divine healing with his creator and Heavenly Father. We too, will return to the Father, in time. Until then, we vow to fight the good fight, and hope to bring others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. II Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
