Benjamin Deeley III

Ben of Apex, NC died on July 27, 2022. He and his wife lived in Apex for over twenty years, raising their children there. He enjoyed the forest and wildlife that they were able to see every day in their backyard and the proximity to tennis courts. He was a life-long tennis enthusiast, but he also enjoyed jamming out on his guitar to classic rock, animals (both wild and domestic) and meeting new people. He traveled extensively for work but also for pleasure- he and his family especially enjoyed body surfing and snorkeling. Ben spent his career working in the ultrasound field. He loved his job, especially teaching medical professionals. His family is pleased to announce that his body was donated to help educate medical students- continuing to teach in death, as he did in life. In lieu of flowers, Ben would have appreciated if donations were made in his memory to help preserve the oceans he loved via the Coral Reef Alliance; assist youth tennis via the Edmonds Tennis and Education Foundation; or fund the Duke Dementia Family Support Program, which provided support to both Ben and Cathy over the last few years.
